It takes a variety of skills, gifts, and passions for the Sports Friends ministry to flourish!

We need people who have a passion for sports and young people, but it’s not essential for many of the roles within Sports Friends. We are also looking for workers who have gifts in administration, communication, discipleship, leadership, pastoral care, and many more as we seek to equip the church to make disciples.

Whether you’re ready to engage in long-term ministry or want to test the water with an internship or short-term ministry trip, we can help connect you to God’s work all over the world. Administrator

We are looking for someone who would love to use their administrative giftings to advance the gospel by serving as a member of our global team.

Administration & Finance Assistant

We need servant-hearted individuals to help the ministry continue to thrive by providing assistance with ongoing activities and financial recording.

Asia Ministry Development Co-leader

Work closely with a co-leader/team to provide leadership for the development of the Sports Friends ministry throughout Asia.

Camp Development Coordinator

Provide camp ministry training for staff, partners, churches, and coaches to complement local church sports ministry programs in making disciples though sports.

Coach Development Coordinator

Provide sports ministry and coaching instruction to equip local coaches in making disciples of Jesus Christ in the lives of youth, their families, and communities.

Coaches’ Trainer

Provide sports ministry training, coaching instruction, and sports ministry model development to support effective sports ministry programs.

Communications Coordinator

We are looking for creative storytellers with a passion for communicating the stories of God's transforming power that are taking place around the world.

Donor Communications Manager

Work closely with the Sports Friends leadership team to plan and create engaging communications that inspire philanthropic support for the ministry.

Girls And Women’s Ministry Focus

Work closely with churches and church-planting movements to see sustainable, local-led sports ministry programs developed for girls and young women in Southeast Asia.

Graphic Designer and Video Editor

We are looking for graphic designers and/or video editors to help produce resources that will equip our 12,000+ coaches on our Sports Friends fields

Internal Communications Lead

We are looking for a creative and detail-orientated communicator who is passionate about sports ministry as a tool for sharing the gospel and making disciples.

Media Specialist

We are looking for creative storytellers with gifts in videography, photography, social media or journalism to communicate the stories of God's grace around the world.

Ministry Development Leader

We need passionate leaders who will work with churches and church-planting movements to see sustainable, national-led sports ministry programs developed.

Mobilizer

We need people who are passionate about cross-cultural ministry to help facilitate the placement of interns, short-term teams, and new SIM members.

Organizational Leader

We’re looking for leaders with gifts in administration, management, finances, leadership development, partnership negotiation, and communications.

Resource Creator/Developer

We are looking for people who are passionate about creating and developing high-quality resources, training curriculums, sports coaching guides and Bible studies.

Short-Term Teams & Interns Coordinator

Help provide initial training and orientation for interns, as well as serving as an ongoing resource for them during their time of service in-country.

How do I apply?

Contact us to begin the process. Sports Friends is a ministry of the international mission, SIM. As such, your local SIM office will manage the selection and training of all applicants wishing to serve with Sports Friends.

Do I need to raise my own support for this position?

Yes, Sports Friends workers raise their own support, but you don’t have to do it alone. Your local SIM office will help with training, resources, and guidance along the way. We have seen God provide for our workers over and over again! If God is asking you to go, you can be sure He will provide to make it possible.

Do you offer internships?

Yes! If you’re looking to combine your love for sports and your love for Jesus in a ministry context, then one of our overseas internship placements could be the perfect opportunity for you. We also offer internships in the areas of administration, finance, communications, and mobilization. All interns will receive training and mentoring throughout their placement.
