Your skills, training, talents, experience, gifts and passion can all be used for God’s glory as we together empower and equip churches and church planters to use sports as a platform to transform lives and strengthen communities.
Sports Friends is a ministry of the multi-national, interdenominational mission, SIM (Serving In Mission). SIM manages all recruiting, selection and training functions for applicants wishing to serve with Sports Friends around the world. Below we have highlighted our current openings for your prayerful consideration. These same openings are described in more detail on SIM’s website.
Sports Friends Media Intern: Work to capture stories of God's grace and transforming power that have taken place through this ministry and create appropriate media (DVDs, web content, social networking content, photo albums, etc.) to communicate what God is doing through the SF ministry to various audiences (donors, ministry partners, recruits, trainees, etc.) Current opening is a part of the International Support Service Team.
Sports Friends Communication Coordinator: Work in a critical role presenting God's work through the SF ministry to a number of different audiences using a variety of different communication strategies and channels (newsletters, SF website, DVDs, social networking, prayer updates, brochures, article contributions, etc.). Current opening is a part of the International Support Service Team.
Sports Friends International Support Services Leader: Responsible to recruit, develop and lead a team of people to provide critical support services including partner & fund development, financial management, training & curriculum development, recruiting coordination, communications, and administration. Current opening is a part of the International Support Service Team.
Sports Friends Curriculum Writer: Work with the SF International Training Committee and Training Coordinator to develop effective materials to support sports ministers around the world as they minister to youth and their families. Current opening is a part of the International Support Service Team.
Sports Friends Recruiting Coordinator: Work closely with SIM recruiters in all SIM Sending Offices to present the needs of SF and to provide needed support to SIM recruiters (SF communication pieces, answering questions of recruiters and potential recruits, coordinating interaction within SF field leaders, etc.). In addition, the Recruiting Coordinator will work with various Sports Friends ministry partners, Board members, university partners, donors, and church partners to proactively generate leads and interest among potential recruits. Current opening is a part of the International Support Service Team.
Sports Friends Partner & Fund Development Coordinator: Work closely with the SF leadership team, Board of Advisors, and SIM Sending Offices to develop and enhance relationships with ministry partners and donors (individuals, foundations and churches). Current opening is a part of the International Support Service Team.
Sports Friends Asia Ministry Development Co-Leader: Work closely with his Co-Leader partner and focus on strategic planning, ministry development, partnership development, vision casting, mentoring and team/staff development, and training. Current opening in Thailand.
Sport Friends Trainer & Ministry Coordinator Long-Term: Work to train, equip and counsel Thai sports ministry coaches and church planters to use sports ministry as a powerful evangelism, church planting and discipleship tool to expand God's Kingdom in Thailand. Current opening in Thailand.
Sports Friends Trainer & Mentor Short-Term: Work to train, equip and counsel Thai sports ministry coaches and
church planters to use sports ministry as a powerful evangelism, church
planting and discipleship tool to expand God's Kingdom in Thailand.

Sports Friends Coaches' Trainer: Provide sports ministry training, coaching instruction, and sports ministry model development to support the development of effective sports ministry within a country. Current openings in India and Nigeria. Sports Friends Ministry Development Leader: Provide leadership for the development of effective sports ministry programs within a country. Focus on vision casting, training, mobilization, and church-centered sports ministry model development. Work closely with several church denominations and church planting movements to see sustainable, national-led sports ministry programs developed. Current openings in India and Nigeria. Sports Friends Organizational Leader: Work closely with the SF Ministry Development Leader within the country with a primary focus on administration, management, finances, leadership development, partnership negotiation, communications, and other organizational leadership issues.
